As a drone pilot myself it was a real eye-opener to film this 5-part series, following underground drone racers, guerrilla freestylers, and technological innovators, all vying for recognition from the grassroots to the world stage. It was also an exercise in creativity and moderation, using minimal camera equipment to allow us to follow intimately as they pushed the boundaries of their technology, their skills, and the law.
