In this series, three intrepid explorers from different parts of the world head to rural China to immerse themselves with local families outside of the booming cities we all know.
From the precipitous forested mountains on the border with Myanmar to the rolling prairies of Inner Mongolia, and from the Miao cultures of central China to the panda lands of Shaanxi and the once grand medieval fortress communities of Fuzhou, our three adventurers throw themselves into living with local families. As they share their homes, entertainment and working lives they get the inside track on life in rural China today.
Together, they live, work, laugh and learn alongside their hosts as they discover how the country’s rapid development is changing rural life forever.
